Web Developer

Here's What You'll Be Working On:

  • Interface with Account Managers to solve complex problems and deliver solutions
  • Produce and maintain well-documented code as well as debug existing code
  • Work with management to keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget
  • Perform quality assurance testing on existing and new websites
  • Update and edit content on websites and web-apps on a variety of CMS' including WordPress and CraftCMS
  • Manage 60+ websites via server environment, manage backups, and keep server up to date

Website Development

  • Lead development on exciting, fast-moving projects using a variety of platforms and frameworks including WordPress, CraftCMS, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL.
  • Use tools like Google Search Console to test & maintain website health
  • Work with graphic designers to turn mockups into functional websites

Web Maintenance

  • Perform general updates for websites
  • Run website scans for security purposes and react as needed
  • Maintain backups and source control for all Matchbook digital projects

Digital Marketing

  • Pull analytics reports from sources like Google Analytics and provide analysis and recommendations for clients
  • Perform site audits for clients and produce recommendations for improvement
  • Use SEO best practices on new site build projects and create SEO strategy and execute tactics for clients

Email Marketing

  • Build campaigns for clients, testing thoroughly for high quality results
  • Perform A/B testing on campaigns where possible and apply learnings to future campaigns
  • Provide analytics on completed campaigns and offer recommendations for improvement

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience building dynamic web sites
  • Experience in HTML 5, CSS 3, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and Craft
  • Understanding of SEO best practices, strategy and tactics
  • Experience with source control including git (we use Bitbucket and Beanstalk)
  • Understanding of shell commands, SSH and various command line tools for mysql, git, and other management processes
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Hubspot and Campaign Monitor
  • HTML email testing tools such as Litmus
  • Some experience in Photoshop
  • E-commerce: experience with maintaining sites using WooCommerce

Matchbook is seeking an experienced Digital Strategist to join our creative agency team. As our agency's Digital Strategist, you will lead the development and implementation of integrated digital campaigns, build strategic roadmaps for project success, aid in raising brand awareness for clients, collaborate with agency departments on marketing campaigns, lead digital activation projects, and measure effectiveness of digital channels. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years professional experience developing or leading strategic digital marketing initiatives to be considered. Agency experience is highly preferred.   • Develops unique strategies and builds upon current client strategies within the digital arena to meet/exceed objectives
  • Works with content team to ensure strategy and objectives are met
  • Executes high-quality digital projects or campaigns, including planning and purchase of ad buys while ensuring campaigns are cost-effective/on budget
  • Proactively keeps abreast of assigned clients' marketing and media plans, and provides technological solutions including rich media, site optimization, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc.

  • Experience in media management/monitoring databases i.e. Cision, Meltwater, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Strong proofreading/editing skills, knowledge of AP Style
  • Copywriting experience and ability to write in voice of consumer
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, organize and analyze growth opportunities
