The Arts Council of Indianapolis has supported the local art community for more than 30 years and continues to incorporate the spirit of the city with every event they cultivate. Matchbook Creative is excited to announce its partnership with the Arts Council of Indianapolis on one of their incredible programs, Art & Soul. This event series runs throughout the month of February and showcases talented, African-American artists that are up-and-coming in the community.
Our goal through the duration of the fellowship program is to promote the artists’ continued success, even after the event series ends in February. Through one-on-one mentorship with the artists, they can learn valuable, transferable skills such as media training, social media practices, personal branding, and public speaking techniques from our talented team.
In its 23rd year, Art & Soul brings empowerment to Indianapolis’ art and African-American communities alike – encompassing the pride of Black History Month, while spanning past the calendar month’s walls.
Being a company built on creative nature, Matchbook is grateful for the opportunity to support Indianapolis’ own artists as they strive for greatness. As we continue to grow our own portfolio, the Arts Council is a great addition to our efforts to support the community which have involved March of Dimes, Indy Do Day, Indy Humane Society, Pack the Pantries, the Junior League of Indianapolis, and countless others.
