As Vice President and Director of Strategy, Maris Schiess continually keeps clients and consumers top-of-mind. Maris specializes in account planning; developing in-depth marketing plans and strategies; and brand communications; bringing her results-oriented insights to a variety of clients across a large spectrum of industries. She is a recipient of multiple AAF ADDYs and Hermes Creative Awards for her strategic work. Maris was also named an Indy’s Best and Brightest finalist in the Media, Sports and Entertainment Industry category in 2015, recognizing her as one of the top 100 young professionals in Indianapolis.
Maris has an extensive background in organizational marketing, previously holding marketing positions at the World Wildlife Fund and United Way Worldwide. At Matchbook, Maris is an expert in uncovering consumer behavior and linking data to actionable areas of implementation, generating consistent results for our partners. As Vice President, Maris also ensures Matchbook is continually evolving to exceed the needs of the industry, and strengthens our internal culture and processes.
Maris graduated Ball State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and minors in Marketing and Communication Studies. She is a current member of the Junior League of Indianapolis and served as their Marketing Vice President for two terms. She also volunteers with local nonprofits, the Indianapolis Zoo, and serves as a member of the board at Ovar'Coming Together.
Their mission: Ovar'coming Together is dedicated to improving the quality of life for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and increasing early detection resulting in a reduction of the number of women who die from the disease.
